Mesi Beys burial chamber at the village Bansko, the vicinity of Strumica

In front of the village Bansko, about seven kilometers east from Strumica, a burial chamber was raised in honor of Mesi Bey. The burial chamber is located next to the partially ruined minaret that belonged to some former mosque once and next to old Muslim cemetery. It is built out of stone and bricks and it is covered with tiles. It is set up on a square basis and is covered with a vault that lies on a polygonal vestibule. The burial chamber is an imposing reflection of the importance and the meaning of the late Bey in that time, as well as his physical appearance and together with the other old graves they make this surrounding unique and special.
