Church Sveta Varvara (St. Barbara), village of Rajcica

In the Debar village of Rajcica, in the vicinity of the well-known monastery St. Jovan Bigorski, in the year 1597 was built a church dedicated to St. Varvara (Barbara).

It is a small, domed, single-nave church with an altar apse on the eastern side, three sided from the outside.

In the church have been discovered and preserved inscriptions that provide information on the building of the church, as well as on some events that happened in the past. In the inscriptions from the prosthesis and the space between the niche of the prosthesis and the apse the year of the building of the church can be read, and as its donors are noted Ovcina i Vlkove (Sheep and Wolfs). Another inscription from the 1722 carved in the apse by the priest Stephen from Mount Athos says that that same year in Thesalonika the  Debar spahii (officials) that were in quarrel were sentenced and imprisoned.

The interior of the church was fresco-decorated. Today, remnants are preserved from the depictions of St. Stephen, the saints from the Great Entry, Omelismos, Annunciation, St. Roman, Virgin Mary Širšaja Nebesa, and others.
