St. MARY, MOST INNOCENT MOTHER OF GOD, VAROS, PRILEP
According to one source the Church of St. Mary, Most Innocent Mother of God in Prilep Varos, was raised in 1416 or 1438, 15th Century, by Pavle and Radoslav, sons of Theodore.
It is a single-nave church, higher than the ordinary churches of this type. The construction material used was broken stone. There are two rows of bricks in its upper part, and a hemispheric apse on the outside and inside.
Inside, the church has an apse with pictures of St. Mary Mother of God Sirsaya with little Jesus Christ on her chest. Under the portrait there is a composition called "The Great Entrance". The entire picture was made by a talented and skilful master who successfully represents the whole idea, creating a painting of precise drawing and remarkable colours. The signatures are inscribed on old Slavic.
