Nikola Martinoski Gallery

The old house where the Gallery of the renowned artist is located in a pleasant, warm and unpretentious exhibition space, which presents a great show of the artistic work of the painter (1903-1973) who was born in Krushevo. Nikola Martinoski, academy painter, has a high place in the modern Macedonian art. He gave 62 paintings as a present to his town. His paintings from the 60-ies show the life, habits and the ambient of the Krushevo house. In the year 2000, the Gallery also established ethnological show, with the two exhibitions-"Krushevo odaja (room)" and "Folk dresses from Krushevo and its surrounding from 19th century". Here you can feel the atmosphere of the old houses, to admire the colors of the goat-hair carpets and the built-in "musandra" and "dolap" (kind of wardrobes) in the walls, where linen kitchen equipment has been kept. The ethnological exhibition contain also part of the folk heritage from the Selce, Koshino, Blagoevce and other villages. The new catalogue and wider space for the exhibition is planned to be adapted in the first floor.
