Recommended tours 6 days: Kavadarci, Prilep - Kruševo, Demir Hisar - Bitola, Prespa - Ohrid - Kicevo, Galicnik, Tetovo, Skopje - Skopje, Stobi, Kumanovo
The morning is reserved for Kavadarci and its vicinity. We provided two options for sightseeing. In the first, in the period between 9:00 to 12:00 hours you will visit the Pološki monastery, and in the second, you will spend it in the suburb Vataša - there you can see the Memorial house of Strašo Pindzur and the church Uspenie na Presveta Bogorodica (Dormition of the Virgin), with the traditional architecture and houses made of clay (in some of them, wine is used instead of water to make the clay). Near Vataša are the Mokliški monastery and the Monument of the children killed in WWII. The first option will include a two-hours boat ride, because today it is the only way to get to the Pološki monastery. From
12:00 to 14:00 hours walk through Kavadarci, enjoy the panoramic view to the
city from the old park and have a lunch in one of the restaurants in the city. Half
an hour's drive will take you to the village of where you can visit the church
Sv. Bogorodica (Holy Mother of God), built simultaneously with the Pološki monastery.
Spend half an hour in this church, and then start for Prilep. You
will arrive at
Prilep after 30 minutes. For this town, too, we provided two options. After the
brief stroll through the old bazaar (caršija) you should decide whether you
want to visit the Marko's towers and the monastery Treskavec (if you have a
four-wheel vehicle) or spend the afternoon visiting the medieval churches
in Varoš. Enjoy
your dinner and night stay in Prilep, or you can, alternatively, decide to go
to Kruševo. Day 2: Kruševo and Demir Hisar: The
morning is reserved for Kruševo, where you will be enchanted by the
traditional architecture and the fresh air. You can visit the monument
Macedonium, the monastery Sveti Spas, the oldest Kruševo church

of it, on the plateau is the famous cherry-wood cannon) and St. Troica. Sample
the ecological Kruševo culinary specialties, and then go to the monastery
Zurce in the Demir Hisar village by the same name. You can review the monastery
for half an hour, and then go to the monastery Slepce. After one hour spent

you decide to go to Golem Grad island, then it is best to take a lunch
package with you and to head for the villages of Stenje and Konjsko, which
are the starting points for the boat trip to the island. You have two
possibilities: the first is to stop at the village of Stenje and to hire a boat
there to take you to the island (the boat trip will last approximately an hour
and a half), or, driving through the forest, to get to the village of Konjsko
and to take a boat there. The boat trip from Konjsko to Golem Grad island should
take half an hour, but we have to warn you that the road from Stenje to Konjsko
is bad. Walk
through the island, enjoy its cultural and natural treasure - the church St.
Petar, the remnants of the church St. Dimitrija, the Early Christian Basilica,
etc. You can also eat the lunch package that we advised you to take. Before
